Aujan Industries Co. has awarded Team Y&R Dubai the new master brand communication development project for Rani, its flagship fruit drinks brand, after a four-way creative pitch.
 
However, independent agency Face To Face will continue to work with Aujan on specific projects for the Rani brand in 2009, and will also continue to handle the account of its other two beverages brands, Barbican & Vimto.
 
Rani enjoyed a turnover of $400 million at the end of 2008, and continues to expand geographically outside the Middle East into Africa, South East and Central Asia, as well as Eastern Europe and Russia. Launched in 1982 in KSA, it enjoys extensive brand awareness and strong brand equity in the GCC, Iran, Iraq, and the Levant. Aujan Industries is now looking at consolidating its portfolio under a new communication platform for the master brand across these markets.
