FP7, Burnett and Starcom are stongest Lynx

In a year when only four Grand Prix were awarded, FP7 Doha walked away with the Agency of the Year award from this month’s Dubai Lynx, held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Its Dubai counterpart took second place, and Starcom MediaVest Dubai took the inaugural Media Agency of the Year award.
 
Team Y&R Dubai was in third place for the Agency of the Year award, and OMD Dubai and Leo Burnett Beirut were in second and third place in the race to become Media Agency of the Year.
 
Leo Burnett Beirut took many of the night’s awards for their “Khede Kasra” campaign for the Hariri Foundation’s Women Empowerment Program. A charity campaign, “Khede Kasra” was not eligible to win any Grands Prix, but won four Golds and three Silvers.
 
Grands Prix were only awarded for the TV/Cinema, Media, Print, and Outdoor categories.
 
Fortune Promoseven Egypt took the TV/Cinema Grand Prix for its work for Coca-Cola, while FP7 Dubai took the award for its Brainobrain Outdoor campaign. Leo Burnett Cairo won the Grand Prix in Print for its work for Heinz, and Starcom MediaVest Dubai took home the award for its Galaxy Media campaign.
 
Tanvir Kanji, head of Inca Tanvir advertising and public relations company was awarded the Advertising Person of the Year award.
