Graham Duff, EMEA IPG Mediabrands President announced the appointment of Diederik Breijer as Universal McCann EMEA President. Universal McCann, a media buying agency, is a part of the Interpublic Group (IPG)
 
Duff says, “I am delighted for this region to be in the capable hands of such an experienced leader. Diederik has demonstrated tremendous business performance locally in the Netherlands. He has great passion and enthusiasm for the UM brand. I look forward to working with him and continuing to build a first class organization across the region.”
 
Diederik first entered the media industry with Wegener Media in 1997. In 2001, he joined Universal McCann Netherlandsand in 2005, Diederik was appointed CEO of Universal Media Netherlands and became responsible for its operations.
 
Breijer says, "I am thrilled to take on this new challenge. We are in the midst of very exciting times in media and marketing which makes being able to address these opportunities from a regional level even more interesting. The EMEA leadership led by Graham Duff has successfully transformed Universal McCann and prepared it to face these times. This is a solid base for me to further build on, taking the UM brand forward.”
