Euro RSCG Worldwide has announced several new regional management roles spanning Europe, Ibero-America (includes Spain, Portugal and Latin America) and Asia Pacific. Effective immediately, Christian de La Villehuchet, will join Andreas Geyr to take on the additional role of CEOs of Euro RSCG Europe, both newly created positions. Ricardo Monteiro has been named CEO of Euro RSCG Ibero-America, also a newly created role. And Juan Rocamora, will take on the new role of chairman of Euro RSCG Asia Pacific, working closely with Asia Pacific CEO Olivier Pluquet. Rocamora will relinquish Spain but will continue to oversee Euro RSCG in several countries across Southern Europe.
“These changes reflect the strong new business performance and growth that we experienced in the first quarter of 2010 and emphasize the priority we are putting on Asia and Latin America,” said David Jones, global CEO of Havas Worldwide and Euro RSCG Worldwide. “Christian, Andreas, Ricardo and Juan have done a wonderful job and I’m sure will bring the same success to their new roles.”
De La Villehuchet most recently served as CEO of Euro RSCG Benelux Group and a managing director of Euro RSCG Europe. He first joined Euro RSCG in 1990 as an account executive in Paris. He spent time in London and Paris working for WCRS before rejoining Euro RSCG in 1998 as the agency’s director of business development across Europe. In 2002, de La Villehuchet was named CEO of Euro RSCG Belgium and turned the group from a top 10 to one of the two biggest in the country, doubling the size of the main agency. In 2007, he became CEO of Euro RSCG Benelux Group -- a role which he will continue to have in this new structure.
Geyr, currently CEO Central Europe, began his career working on the IBM account at Ogilvy & Mather in Frankfurt and Paris. His keen sense for business led him to launch his own company in the online financial services arena, before joining McCann Erickson. He joined Euro RSCG Germany as CEO in 2005 and has delivered momentum for that agency that resulted in it being named one of Germany’s top five agencies. In 2008, Geyr was named a managing director of Euro RSCG Europe and CEO of Euro RSCG Central Europe.
Monteiro, CEO of Euro RSCG Portugal and Euro RSCG Latin America, got his start on the client side of the business, working as a management trainee for Unilever where he rose to the top of Elida Gibbs in Portugal. He continued his career at BBDO Portugal as partner and CEO. Monteiro joined Euro RSCG in 1999 as CEO of the agency in Lisbon and the Euro RSCG group of companies. After his first year in the new role, the agency was named No. 1 in 2000. While remaining CEO for Euro RSCG Portugal, Monteiro was named vice president for Euro RSCG Europe and then added the regional role of CEO of Latin America in 2005.
Rocamora, most recently CEO of Euro RSCG Southern Europe and chairman and CEO of Euro RSCG Spain, began his career in advertising with J. Walter Thompson in Madrid, where, in less than 10 years, he was named CEO of JWT Spain. After 16 years with that agency, in various roles, he joined Euro RSCG in 1997 as COO of Euro RSCG Spain. Just three months later, Rocamora was promoted to chairman and CEO. Rocamora will relinquish Spain but will continue to oversee Euro RSCG in several countries across Southern Europe, while working closely with Olivier Pluquet, CEO of Euro RSCG Asia Pacific.
