Locally headquartered branding agency Brash Brands has been awarded a prestigious contract to brand Abu Dhabi National Library.
Brash Brands were chosen against strong international competition. Deputy Director General, ADACH Mr. Jumaa Abdulla Alqubaisi said “The team at Brash stood out straight away as people who were really able to understand what we are trying to do and to bring fresh insight into how that might be achieved. Their strategic approach to the creative process combined with the knowledge and sensitivity to Abu Dhabi’s culture makes them the ideal partner for us. Already their work has helped to make Abu Dhabi’s history and cultural strengths integral to the brand in an original and exciting way.”
The library project, which is an initiative from Abu Dhabi Arts and Cultural Heritage (ADACH) will provide a rich variety of cultural resources for the region. An iconic Reference Library will be constructed within Abu Dhabi City, complemented by a network of community libraries throughout Abu Dhabi in malls and other convenient locations. A mobile library service will ensure than everyone in the Emirate has access to this important cultural resource.
John Brash, executive creative director at Brash Brands said of the appointment, “The Abu Dhabi Library Project reinvents what a library can be in the 21st Century whilst at the same time providing people with an important and enriching connection to the region’s history.
