Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) has announced the appointment of Top-10 UK digital and direct agency Tullo Marshall Warren (TMW) as its preferred Digital Agency partner.  SAGIA has commissioned TMW to build a new corporate website to help promote Saudi Arabia as one of the most attractive investment locations in the world. TMW has created the first evolution of the website (www.sagia.gov.sa [1]) and further developments will roll out in 2010.

TMW, part of the Creston Group of companies, won the account after beating several leading agencies following a competitive pitch. The agency will be responsible for bringing together insightful creativity with proven technology solutions. The TMW team has a range of skills to deliver inspiring e-solutions to SAGIA, covering all aspects of strategic planning, technical build, design, copywriting and digital management.

As part of TMW’s expansion into the region, the agency has also developed a website for the Global Competitiveness Forum (www.gcf.org.sa [2]), an annual conference founded by SAGIA and held in Riyadh which seeks to bring together business leaders and world renowned experts to discuss how competitiveness can be encouraged at every level, from personal to global. TMW also created GCF Talk, a forum where conference attendees and opinion formers can interact and develop ideas around the topics discussed at the event.

SAGIA, part of the Saudi Arabian government, is the driving force behind a programme of infrastructure investment and policy reform to build a pro-business environment and position Saudi Arabia as an attractive destination for overseas investment.  This has been reflected by The Kingdom’s continued rise in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business ratings, which in 2009 positioned Saudi Arabia as 13th in the world.

By capitalising on Saudi Arabia’s competitive advantages - as the global capital of energy, a major hub between East and West - and spending billions of dollars on infrastructure and state of the art business facilities in ‘Economic Cities’ located around the country, Saudi Arabia is fast becoming one of the best places in the world to do business. To help investors and businesses get started in Saudi Arabia, SAGIA provide comprehensive, fast track licensing and support services.

Paul Dodds, group account director at TMW in Dubai, says: “We are delighted to be working with the driving force behind the change occurring in Saudi Arabia. This pitch was very much about a fresh and innovative approach and challenging some of the preconceptions many people have about doing business in the Kingdom. The website will reinforce SAGIA’s role in helping businesses establish themselves in the Kingdom, and promote Saudi Arabia as the ideal country to do business in.”
