This year’s MENA Cristal Festival has unveiled the shortlists for three of its major award categories, and it looks like a good year for JWT.
In the Promo & Direct category JWT dominates; its Dubai branch features for its Nestle Smarties work, and for its Friends of Cancer Patients stress balls ad. The Cairo office features for its Nestle Ice Cream and Vodafone Egypt work, while Beirut gets a look in for campaigns Vote 350, Mercedes Switch and Le Mall. Leo Burnett Dubai is the only other agency in the race thanks to its National Geographic Flower ad.
JWT also has a strong showing in the Media category, with four shortlisted campaigns. OMD rules the roost, however, with nine campaigns that include work for Mobily, Pepsi and Visa. Starcom also have a good showing with five listed campaigns.
And in the Cyber category, JWT has a hand in seven of the shortlisted campaigns. Mindshare and Leo Burnett also feature.
